Gingerbread Spice Blend

Base:
1 tbsp dried apple pieces (adds sweetness and body)
Spices:
1/2 tsp dried ginger pieces (provides the signature gingerbread spice)
1/2 tsp cinnamon stick (crushed)
1/4 tsp ground cloves (or use 1-2 whole cloves)
1/4 tsp nutmeg (freshly grated if possible)
Instructions:
Heat water to 90ยฐC (194ยฐF).
Add all ingredients to a tea infuser or directly into a teapot.
Let steep for 7-9 minutes.
Strain and enjoy. You can sweeten the tea with a bit of honey or maple syrup for extra warmth.
